Increase the lifetime of your constructions
By adding Beaulieu’s Meraflex shortcut PP microfibres to your mortar or concrete mix, you can avoid cracks and improve the fire resistance of your concrete construction. Beaulieu’s microfibres are light, safe and easy to use, and they will help you increase the lifetime of your constructions.
The easiest way to avoid cracks
Meraflex microfibres in your concrete mix will minimise the risk of cracks due to shrinkage, improve the resistance and the appearance of your concrete structures. In addition, Meraflex is very easy to work with. The fibres will uniformly distribute across the concrete mix and therefore offer a homogenous distribution of stress across your concrete structure.
Your benefits
- Minimizes cracks
- Improves fire resistance
- Easy processing
- Uniform distribution into the concrete mix
- Improves abrasion and impact resistance
- Improves surface appearance
- Protects against chemical or atmospheric agents
The surest protection against fires
Fires can cause cracks and weaken your concrete construction. By adding Meraflex PP microfibres, you can avoid spallation due to fires. During a fire, the Meraflex fibre will melt at 160°C and create porosity. As a result, the generated steam can be evacuated. This will reduce the pressure in your construction and avoid spalling.
IBS (Institut für Brandschutztechnik und Sicherheitsforschung Gesellschaft) has tested the Meraflex PP microfibres according the ÖBV guideline for "Increased structural fire protection for underground traffic structures made of concrete".
Applications
- Tunneling
- Concrete reinforcement
- Precast concrete
- Commercial & residential slabs
